Christ’s self-righteousness…the Kingdom’s scepter

Concerning the Son: His scepter of uprightness (‘His self-righteousness’) is the basis of His kingdom reign. In our being made to recognize this—that Christ, by His personal righteousness, defeats all His foes and strengthens His friends—we too are made to love righteousness (particularly His) and hate wickedness (especially our own). (Heb 1:8-9)

By His righteousness we are made to pursue the righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness that comes by the Gospel, for which we fight, through which we take hold of the eternal life, and to which we were called. (1Tim 6:11-12)

We then are His “little children” who practice righteousness, for He is righteous and makes us righteous through the abiding faith of the Gospel in us and toward Him. All is contingent upon the appearance of the Son of God (2000yrs ago) who Himself is the Good News (Gospel) that did, does and will destroy the works of the devil. (1Jn 3:7-9)
